Williams denies this and refuses to snitch on Lee. Later, Han summons Williams and accuses him of attacking the guards the previous night. Glaring at Lee, Han begrudgingly denounces O'Hara's dishonorable behavior and abruptly puts the tournament on hold until the next day. Lee responds by disarming O'Hara and killing him. When Lee manages to defeat O'Hara with ease, O'Hara, enraged and humiliated, attacks Lee with a pair of broken bottles while Han protests. Following the public execution, Han continues the tournament by pitting Lee against O'Hara, Han's other bodyguard and the man responsible for killing Lee's sister, Su Lin. The next day, Han punishes the guards for failure in their duties by leaving them to the hands of the sadistic Bolo, one of Han's chief bodyguards, who kills all of them by breaking their bones with his bare hands. After nightfall Lee begins searching the island for evidence and discovers a underground compound, where drugs are being manufactured and tested on unwitting prisoners, he puts down several guards and returns to his room. Lee arrives on Han's island, joining him and other competitors including Roper and Williams. Han overseeing the tournament on his golden throne. Han runs a martial arts school to protect his drug operations and sex trafficking, as well as holding a tri-yearly tournament to recruit international talent into his criminal empire. The authorities cannot arrest Han since Han's island is only partly in their jurisdiction, and thus are unable to conduct any formal investigations.
The movie starts with a British Intelligence agent who approaches a man named Lee, a Shaolin martial artist from Hong Kong and asks for his help with gathering intelligence on Han, a renegade Shaolin monk suspected to be directly involved in the drug trade and prostitution from his private island. He was portrayed by the late Shih Kien and dubbed over by the late Keye Luke. In place of the missing hand he has a variety of weapon hands to use like an iron hand, claw hand and a bladed hand. He keeps the bones of the severed hand on display in a museum of torture and weapons. He also lost a hand, though how he lost it is never explained. He additionally runs a martial arts tournament every three months to recruit more muscle for his criminal empire. He is a powerful and ruthless drug lord who runs a heroin cooking business and sex trafficking ring from a secluded island.
